The Iraqi problem was created by the US
Saddam Hussein was Americas guy in the 1970s and 1980s when Saddam enjoyed the support of the USA while he was fighting his neighbor IRAN whom was backed by the USSR. Only in the early 1990s that Saddam became a problem that America had to distance itself from and publicly abomish Iraqs taking over of the Kuwaiti oil fields in dispute which led to the taking over of the whole country of Kuwait that opened the door for world condemnation of Iraq and the first Gulf War to evict Iraq from Kuwait.
